Since the publication of the first edition of "Empirical Bayes methods" in 1970, there have been many contributions to the theory known as the empirical Bayes approach. This book collects and presents practical examples of the application of empirical Bayes ideas and techniques.
"This book provides a clear exposition of the underlying concepts with large numbers of worked examples and problem sets. The book also discusses numerical techniques for implementing the Bayesian calculations, including an introduction to Markov chain Monte Carlo integration an…
Increasingly, researchers in many branches of science are coming into contact with Bayesian statistics or Bayesian probability theory. This book provides a clear exposition of the underlying concepts with large numbers of worked examples and problem sets. Background material is …
"Michael G. Titelbaum presents a new Bayesian framework for modeling rational degrees of belief, called the Certainty-Loss Framework. Subjective Bayesianism is epistemologists' standard theory of how individuals should change their degrees of belief over time. But despite the th…
Offering an up-to-date coverage of the basic principles and tools of Bayesian inference in economics, this textbook then shows how to use Bayesian methods in a range of models suited to the analysis of macroeconomic and financial time series.
