This textbook presents an elementary introduction to generalized functions by using Sato's approach of hyperfunctions which is based on complex function theory. This very intuitive and appealing approach has particularly great computational power. The concept of hyperfunctions a…
This book features original research and survey articles on the topics of function spaces and inequalities. It focuses on (variable/grand/small) Lebesgue spaces, Orlicz spaces, Lorentz spaces, and Morrey spaces and deals with mapping properties of operators, (weighted) inequalit…
This textbook presents a rigorous approach to multivariable calculus in the context of model building and optimization problems. This comprehensive overview is based on lectures given at five SERC Schools from 2008 to 2012 and covers a broad range of topics that will enable read…
This book presents applications of hypercomplex analysis to boundary value and initial-boundary value problems from various areas of mathematical physics. Given that quaternion and Clifford analysis offer natural and intelligent ways to enter into higher dimensions, it starts wi…
This comprehensive treatment of multivariable calculus focuses on the numerous tools that MATLAB® brings to the subject, as it presents introductions to geometry, mathematical physics, and kinematics. Covering simple calculations with MATLAB®, relevant plots, integration, and op…
We introduce a matricial approach to the truncated complex moment problem, and apply it to the case of moment matrices of flat data type, for which the columns corresponding to the homogeneous monomials in [italic]z and [italic]z̄ of highest degree can be written in terms of mono…
